5/3 Opscode Triage

#1

We have weekly triage meetings now for the open-source projects that
Opscode stewards, primarily Chef. We’ll try to report the outcome of
these meetings to the list each week as well. We’re starting with Chef

  • Ohai tickets with a status of resolved. Once we’ve caught up there
    we’ll move into open tickets.

Added to review + merge list:
CHEF-39
CHEF-311
CHEF-519
CHEF-1054
CHEF-1063
CHEF-1074
CHEF-1163 (0.9)
CHEF-1245
CHEF-1287

Other resolution:
CHEF-385 - Postponed for further discussion
CHEF-757 - Reopened due to lack of a fix
CHEF-909 - Needs to be configurable
CHEF-1407 - Task closed based on comments, nothing to merge.
CHEF-1086 - Use chef-solr-installer to set jetty settings.
CHEF-1089 - Not merging AWS specific resources into core chef
CHEF-1377 - Closed, incomplete. Still unable to reproduce.
CHEF-1424 - Need to review changes to default behavior
CHEF-1428 - Not merging to avoid making rackspace bootstrap more unique.
CHEF-1437 - RPM packages aren’t maintained internally
CHEF-1439 - Needs review, didn’t merge cleanly last run.
CHEF-1187 - Need to determine if cookbook_loader changes fixed this or not.

Thanks for this report, it’s good to see what’s going on. Any chance
you could add the summaries for the bugs to the list too?
