# Announcing the first Habitat Community Summit

I’m pleased to announce that we’ll be hosting the first-ever [Habitat Community Summit](https://www.cvent.com/c/express/ded174e7-ed28-4f43-bf8a-642c782dc05f) in Seattle, WA, just prior to the [Chef Community Summit](https://summit.chef.io/seattle/). Like the Chef Community Summit, the Habitat Community Summit will be run using an [open-spaces](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Space_Technology) format where the community gets to choose the topics.

Please feel free to start a thread in these forums on topics that you would like to discuss.

On behalf of the entire Habitat team, I am looking forward to meeting each of you and hearing your ideas and feedback about Habitat.
