# API to automate refreshes of Chef Vaults

Hi All.

I need to automate through aws lambda refresh of a chef vault. I would ideally like to avoid direct usage of knife command and rather rely on some api. I have found various options:

1. [https://github.com/chef/chef-api](https://github.com/chef/chef-api)
2. [https://github.com/chef/go-chef](https://github.com/chef/go-chef)
3. [https://pypi.org/project/PyChef/](https://pypi.org/project/PyChef/)

But none seems to support vault operations.  
Can someone point me in the right direction?
