Chef 12.1.0 release next week

#1

We’d like to ship a Chef 12.x release next week. If you’ve got
anything hanging around, now is the time to finish it up. If you’ve
got any free time, now is the time to be testing master.

https://github.com/chef/chef/pull/2710 not seen any movement here for a
while, chef solo with --no-fork is still unusable  any ideas?

is there an office hours planned before the 12.x release?

cheers,

Community Engineering took over the developers office hours at the
beginning of the year. They happen roughly on the same schedule so I’d
expect one to happen Wednesday. You can follow them here:

I think what you really want is a maintainer though, and you’ve gotten
sufficient +1’s, it just needs a merge. I’ll do it this week if
someone else doesn’t, I’ve got some critical releases to get done
tonight.
