# Chef Client getting hung on powershell\_script resources on WIndows 2016

I'm using Chef-Client version 13.6.4 (approved for organization) on Windows 2016 Core servers. Chef Client getting hung on powershell\_script resources. The behavior is intermittent and it doesn't generate any logs or errors. remedy is to kill the process and chef-client again. Any suggestions

What is in your PowerShell block? I suspect it's the POSH being run more than the resource.

Powershell block consists of enabling and disabling of fileextensions as well as enabling IIS. Nothing fancy and these commands never hand when run directly into the powershell console
