# Chef omnibus packaging broken?

I’m running chef version 11.16.4.

According to the changelog  
[https://github.com/opscode/chef/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#last-release-11142](https://github.com/opscode/chef/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#last-release-11142),  
CHEF-5162  
was fixed as part of v11.14.2. I can see that as of the latest release tag  
remote\_file.rb  
[https://github.com/opscode/chef/blob/11.16.4/lib/chef/resource/remote\_file.rb](https://github.com/opscode/chef/blob/11.16.4/lib/chef/resource/remote_file.rb)  
does  
have the right fixes.

However on my centos machine, running chef installed via omnibus, it does  
not have the correct version of the file.
