# Chef Patterns - how to be an executive pattern

sorry guys, last one got out before i finished typing due to an overly  
sensitive touchpad

I am trying to figure to best ways to work with cookbooks, collaborate w/  
other cookbook authors, and separate "ingredients" (corporate data) from  
recipes.

I have started putting a few here. Please add and correct whatever is  
incorrect.

While the philosophy of chef is TIMTOWTDI, it would help to document  
different "patterns" for configuring your chef repository and laying out  
cookbooks. That will help us collaborate and grow as a community

In addition to this guide and the one I wrote on my blog[0], I'm  
putting together a "style guide" for cookbooks, which will be posted  
to the wiki at some point in the next couple weeks.
