#1

Currently iam trying to setup chef-server on ARM V7 for ubuntu 12.10 or 13.04
OS and iam not seeing any .deb package or source code supported to ARM.

Please do let me know if i need to get the source code for ARM , how n where i
do need to get from.

Thanks

Your best bet is probably to look at the Omnibus packaging for the
Chef Server, which currently builds for x64. I do Chef Client builds
on PPC Ubuntu, so ARM should work fine but it may be a little
underpowered.

on a side note, you can try using lxc with setarch ( linux-utils) provide
i386 emulation to run chef-server in side a container. I was able to run
chef server inside a container, but i dont know how it will react to
setarch. i can share the lxc related details on chefserver
installation/automation, but you have to test the setarch bit.
