# Chef Workstation 23.5.1040 Released!

We are delighted to announce the availability of version 23.5.1040 of Chef Workstation.

## Platform support

- Added support for RHEL 9. ([#3108](https://github.com/chef/chef-workstation/pull/3108))

## Bug Fixes

- Fixed an issue where `chef env` would not correctly handle the `-chef-license` flag. ([#3097](https://github.com/chef/chef-workstation/pull/3097))
- Updated the chef-apply gem from 0.9.4 to 0.9.6 to fix an issue loading YAML files. ([#3113](https://github.com/chef/chef-workstation/pull/3113/))
- Updated the `chef-cli` gem from 5.6.8 to 5.6.11 to address warnings that would appear when `chef shell-init` is run. ([#3109](https://github.com/chef/chef-workstation/pull/3109))

### Test-Kitchen

- Updated the kitchen-azurerm gem from 1.10.5 to 1.12 to fix an issue when running `kitchen create` after using Azure CLI to log in using the Kitchen AzureRM Driver. ([#3100](https://github.com/chef/chef-workstation/pull/3100/))
