# Chef-zero server: What will be the impact if chef openssl cecert.pem will get expired

Hello,

Can you please help me for below question.

We are using chef-client rpm with chef-zero server and we are not using https anywhere in our implementation. so What will be the impact if chef provided default openssl cecert.pem will get expired.
