f5 big-ip

#1

Hi,

Could you please tell me if you’d be interested in a discussion on using Chef
with F5-BIGIP?
I can provide an update on our integration, APIs etc
I’d really appreciate your feedback on use cases and best practices

Thanks,
Marc

I’d be happy to discuss this. I’ve had a few conversations with folks
at F5, but I’ll be happy to discuss how we can work together.

I’m very interested!

Last time I used an f5, 90% of my use cases were:

  • setting up an address/port (virtual server) and its associated pool
  • adding/removing nodes to the pool

Just having idempotent resources to manage those would be awesome.

Thanks Matt!

I’ve updated our existing integration

to work with Enterprise Chef 11.1.4 and BIG-IP 11.4.1, using the 11.4.1 iControl ruby gem.

I’d like to use my lab to extend this integration and share with the community.

I’m based in France and cover the EMEA region.

Please let me know when would be a good time to talk.

Thanks,

Marc
