Foodcritic 10.1 has been released today and will ship with the next ChefDK released. Here’s what’s new:
- FC023 has been removed. This rule was more opinion than best practice and actually broke things depending on the cookbook. Feel free to use condition logic in or outside your resources, depending on what works for you.
- Tags for various rules have been updated to make it easier to enable / disable rules using tags
- checks_for_chef_solo? and chef_solo_search_supported? helpers have been deprecated and will be removed from the next released
- A new cookbook_base_path helper has been added, which will be used in some upcoming metadata helper work
