_We’ll start with just one quick thing from me. The forums at_ [_forums.habitat.sh_](http://forums.habitat.sh/) _have been locked and will not allow for new content to be created. I’m working with the discourse team to cleanly migrate all of the content from there to_ [_discourse.chef.io_](http://discourse.chef.io/) _and set up redirects. I’ll obviously let y’all know when it is all done, but let me know if you have questions in the meantime._

**Chef Workstation**

_We had a release of chef-vault, too. 4.1 is out with a fix for secrets that contain escape characters and a pretty significant performance improvement for users with large numbers of secrets. This will be included in the upcoming Chef Infra Client 16.7 release. Like_ [_@tas50_](https://chefcommunity.slack.com/team/U1CDF6JE6) _said in his announcement, thanks to_ [_@annih_](https://chefcommunity.slack.com/team/U6S2153KP) _for the performance work._

_Fauxhai-ng 8.5 is now up on Rubygems. This release updates AIX 7.1 data from Chef 14.0 -\> 16.7 and adds a new AIX 7.2 dump. This fixes ChefSpec issues for users on AIX. The new dumps now have proper filesystem data, shard plugin data, and ruby plugin data._

**Chef Infra Server**

_Hello folks!_  
_This week for Chef Infra Server:_

- _We are working on reviewing and getting the final pieces of sig\_v4 support for AWS ready._
- _Working on a bug fix where we support only path style requests but AWS will support only virtual style hosted requests._
- _We had a couple of pipeline related issues that have now been fixed._
- _We are testing and reviewing the change for rails update._

- _resolved underscore bug:_ mariadb\_user _'s_ :grant _action incorrectly handled privileges with underscores, now it correctly substitutes them with a space_

_vscode 1.0.3 has been released:_

- _fixed yamllint warning for "on" in the ci workflow_

_grafana 9.5.1 has been released:_

- _Removed duplicate attribute (#389)_

_Thanks to_ [_@Xorima_](https://chefcommunity.slack.com/team/UDG5853CG) _, I have been partially replaced by a "script" thanks to his diligent work on getting auto releasing going with our cookbooks. As of this morning, all repositories now have auto releasing enabled. All that needs to happen is the PR needs to have release tag and then be merged._

**Cinc Updates**

_Cinc Workstation:_

- _Released 20.11.180 via the unstable channel_

_No other updates from various teams that I'm aware of. We're either busy with_ $work _priorities or waiting on new releases from upstream_
