Before I file a bug report, I wanted to see if anyone else has seen this
problem.

Essentially, I cannot get a recipe to start or restart the chef-client
service on SuSe.

See -\> [http://pastie.org/2539373](http://pastie.org/2539373)

Here is the recipe… It works on CentOS and not SuSe

#

# Cookbook Name:: ravchef

# Recipe:: default

#

service “chef-client” do

service\_name node[:ravchef][:service]

action [:enable, :start]

end

Looks right to me. Do you have a /etc/init.d/chef-client? What
happens when you start chef-client manually?
