# Shef -z not loading run list in 0.9.14beta1?

Howdy –

Running chef 0.9.14beta1, after invoking “shef -z”, “run\_chef” returns  
immediately – as compared to chef-client, which applies the recipes and  
roles specified in the node’s run list.

Can anyone confirm either whether they also see this behavior or whether it  
is intended?

> Sorry for the late reply. This has been fixed in master and the 0.9-stable branch, so it will be fixed in the final release of 0.9.14.
