# Windows client?

Helo!

I’ve just found chef and I trying to fiugre out how it’s working -  
seems to be quite nice thing 🙂

One question I have for now - does it work on windows? I just need  
client on windows, nothing else. I’ve seen on wiki some tickets about  
ohai and windows patches, but last comment is from march and ticket is  
still open.

There are no functional resources or providers for Windows. Initial  
work would need to be done in ohai for it to support windows (which I  
believe is mostly done, but not rebased.)
