# Windows installation

Hi all.  
There is a problem with my chef clients. I’m not a linux expert but i’m  
pretty shure that my server is Installed correct.The problem is that i cannot  
install applications on my clients (windows server 2008 R2). I’m always receive  
the following error : "NameError: uninitialized constant  
Chef::Win32::Registry::HKEY\_LOCAL\_MACHINE"  
Any suggestions???

Is there something wrong with my chef server or the problem is on my windows  
server?

Please Help!!!

> This looks like a client problem. Can you post the full error message, along with the chef-stacktrace.out file?
