Chef 10.14.4 Released

We've released another bug fix release today. Release notes are in the
blog post:

What process are others using to handle updates of omnibus installs?

Because of a bug in Omnibus (http://tickets.opscode.com/browse/CHEF-3486), I elected to update my 10.14.2 installs using “/opt/chef/embedded/bin/gem update” to pull down the latest Chef gem (and others). Need to have build-essential on the boxes though. There should be a respin of the Omnibus installs for Ubuntu soon, since it’s a packaging bug and not a Chef bug.

Thanks,

CHEF-3486 was resolved early today with the release of the Omnibus
10.14.14-2 packages.
