As posted on Tuesday, we released a chef client version 12.14.77 to address a few regressions in 12.14.60. One of those regressions was an issue with the systemd_unit resource’s verify property see GH issue #5362. Unfortunately our fix released in 12.14.77 did not fully fix the regression and we have decided to fully revert the original change Verify systemd_unit file during create that initially led to this bug.
That revert is included in today’s 12.14.89 release. This release includes a couple other routine fixes and you can view more details about those in the changelog.
Very shortly we will be releasing the new chef-dk and we have ensured the client bundled in that dk is this new chef-client 12.14.89.
