i know chef-vault use its internal mechanism to encrypt the secretes. I am looking to create vault with supplied supplied encryption key?
Data bag does provide that capability, do we have similar for vault as well?
Not that I know of, the value being randomized is part of the security model of chef-vault so this probably has never come up. If you explain why you think you want to use a fixed key, it might help.
