Ci

Is http://ci.opscode.com/chef supposed to be working?

Joe

It died a while back and we haven't brought it back yet, sadly. On
the to-do list.

Hi,

Check out:

I've just set them up and they're polling the respective master
repositories on GitHub for changes.

I'm happy to keep that up and running for as foreseeable future, if
it's of use to the community. I can set up email notifications on all/
successful/failed builds, too, if anybody would like to receive them?

Cheers,

Graeme.

We have a Bamboo license on the way from Atlassian, aswell as FishEye
and Crucible.

If you want to setup an email send em to chef-dev@lists.opscode.com
(dev mailing list)

Thanks!

Cheers,

Graeme.

Bamboo is awesome. It's what introduced us to Atlassian in the first
place. We've got licenses for FishEye and Crucible and I've been
meaning to try them out now that Git support has landed, but haven't
quite had the time yet...

Bamboo setup tips:

which will generate JUnit style XML output for test results that
Bamboo can then parse and provide stats on. See "Top 10 Longest
Running Tests" at http://ci.rubaidh.com/browse/CHEF-MASTER/test for
a good example.

but rumour has it that there will be a more officially blessed one
sometime soon... (can't for the life of me find the reference to back
up that rumour-in-my-head though!)

If you want to setup an email send em to chef-dev@lists.opscode.com
(dev mailing list)

Done. Mails will be coming from noreply@rubaidh.com and I've just
forced a build of Chef to test it.

Cheers,

Graeme.

You totally made my day with this, Graeme. Huge win.

Nae bother. Are the build notifications getting through to the dev
list? They're coming from noreply@rubaidh.com, and I'm personally
getting them, but I haven't seen any so far through the list... You'd
be able to shame AJ into fixing the build again: http://bit.ly/FJ9Yd :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers,

Graeme.

I've fixed the build. My mistake.

I can't seem to get Sympa to add 'noreply@rubaidh.com' as an alternate
email address for myself. Will investigate further.

Cheers,

Graeme.

I had a quick look at the Sympa documentation, and I still have no
idea. Is it possible to set up a whitelist of addresses for a
particular list, or to have a list admin subscribe somebody without
going through the address validity check?

For those of you playing along at home, the problem is that noreply@rubaidh.com
is an unmonitored address and I'm too lazy to temporarily start
monitoring it (we seem to get a great deal of backscatter there).

I've added noreply@rubaidh.com to the chef and chef-dev lists (doesn't
receive messages, but should be able to send to the list).

Thanks,

Nathan
