Docker and Chef

hello Community,
we are going to containerize some Software. the Vendor of the Software will use Docker container and as infrastructure Management Software Chef. thru the fact that i am new to Chef i started to read about. what i have found was following:

"Unmaintained Drivers are at risk of becoming stale. (in this list is dockers)"

the Chef should run on prod servers. can somebody plz confirm that the Driver Support is 100% stable and supported ? with docu would be nice

We are using https://github.com/chef-cookbooks/docker to build and deploy dozens of Docker containers, volumes and networks with chef

thx for the answer. maybe its an old link / old software ! (my link last update 2015, your link 2019)
as per your link i understand its 100% working and can be used in Prod enviroment.
