Hello Chefs,
I have been always facing attribute loss. But now it’s becoming very
annoying.
For example our firewall is managed by Chef, it uses network.*
attributes information.
Due to some issue nodes get blocked by firewall it happens when network
attributes are lost.
The network.interfaces is simply empty.
What component or what can cause this problem?
Regards,
Denis
Are you using AFW cookbook and it's associated network_addr custom Ohai
plugin? I experienced that ... an upgrade of chef-client to latest version
fixed the issue for me.

Hello Doug,
thanks for the reply.
I'm not using AWF cookbook. My cookbook uses shorewall, but it doesn't
implement any custom ohai plugins neither it uses node.save...
What's about recent version, my node use chef 11.4.4 and some of them
11.8.2. What the latest version in your case.
Regards,
Denis
