Ohai Chefs,
the next stable release of Chef Client will no longer be built on FreeBSD 9, as it is out of support upstream.
Instead, we have added FreeBSD 11 testers, and will be supporting FreeBSD11 builds of chef-client on x86_64 and x86 from now on.
Previous releases of chef client will still be available on freebsd 9 (we won’t be deleting anything), so if you need to continue to deploy freebsd9 you can simply use an older version of Chef.
