I’ve added vlan support to the iproute plugin, because iproute is
cool, we can, and Laurent asked for it.
I’ve added backward compatibility with ip aliasing with ifconfig to
the iproute support by creating an interface named ‘int:n’ whenever we
detecting an ip address that was bound to such an interface with
iproute2.
I’ve added support for subinterfaces with iproute.
Finally, I added support for more oddly named interfaces. This could
get odder, because the kernel supports a pretty wide set of values,
but I think we will wait for a use case before shaving more regex
yaks.
Ohai 0.6.12.rc.4 is up. Please test that your expected network
information is coming out of it.
