Hi All,
I’m getting below notification when am accessing chef-manage url, my doubt is there any limit of nodes in open source chef…?
This installation is managing 50 nodes, but is only licensed for 25. Please upgrade now to ensure proper licensinghttp://www.getchef.com/contact/on-premises-simple.

License change with 12, yes it has a limit.
All of our Open Source products are available, free of charge, in both source and binary form. Our premium features are free to use for infrastructures with 25 or fewer nodes, come with a 30-day free trial in larger infrastructures, and are available by subscription.

The Chef Server overall has no limits and is open source like the rest of Chef. The Web UI (Manage) in particular is now a premium product and so that comes with a free trial limit. You can continue to use Chef Server without the web interface though, knife and whatnot will continue to work just fine.
