Reset Webui Admin Password

Good morning,

When I configured the webui I set a complicated password, which I still
have. However for some reason by installation will not let me in now.
I do not know what has happened yet, but suspect it is a configuration
thing I have done, but I would like to get into the website.

Please could someone tell me how to reset the admin password?

Russell,

I believe you can edit the user in CouchDB. Go to URL similar to this for
your install.
http://localhost:5984/_utils/database.html?chef/_design/users/_view/all

I did this once before, and I think if you remove the password for the admin
user it will authenticate with the default Chef password. Someone please
correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks very much for this.

After I sent this email I did some more searching and found a script
that you can run from the command line to set the password for any user.
