Auto-responding infinite loop?

I recently set my Gmail out of office responder and started getting a lot of emails back that look like the below. I fear I have entered into some sort of infinite auto-responding loop

This is the first time this happened to me and I’ve used the auto-responder before, so not sure what happened differently this time. I think it might have something to do with the fact that the Return-Path is a unique email address every time, so Gmail assumes it’s a new content to respond to.
