We’re looking to use Chef on some Windows 10 machines and we’re wondering what the support is like on these systems, are there any well known issues or particular problems with Chef-client and this version of Windows that we should be aware of?
We have several people internally (myself included) who use Chef-client on
Windows 10 to manage our workstations. I’m not aware of any issues with
it. There’s the long running scheduled task vs service debate, but that’s
not specific to Windows 10 and is more of an architecture decision to be
made.

I can confirm that Windows 10 works well for me from a ChefDK and node/client perspective.
