When i try to ping chef server using its IP from chef workstation, the ping was successful. But when i try to ping using chefserver's hostname i get the following error.
ping: unknown host chefserver1.gkapac.com
Could someone help me to resolve this?

How am i suppose to ensure it?
You may verify it from DNS zone which is hosted on godaddy for your domain and alternatively you may check it on mxtoolbox tool.
First you will have to create A records of server hostname from Godaddy account to node IP address.
