If you’ve ever used a Chef managed community cookbook then you’ve interacted with the work of Chef’s Cookbook Engineering Team. There’s a good chance though that you’ve never directly interacted with us. That’s because until now we’ve worked in a Slack channel in Chef’s corporate Slack instance. It dawned on us that our chat room is a gold mine of cookbook information, and there was no actual reason to work in a private chat. So as of Friday the Cookbook Engineering Team has moved into #cookbook-engineering on the community Slack and we’ve archived our internal slack channel. What does this mean for you? Well if you’ve ever been curious what we’re working on, had a question about a community cookbook, or just wanted to ask about cookbook design, we’re all available now.
