It's that time again. We have a new release of Cookstyle this week with five new cops to help you upgrade old cookbooks to modern Chef Infra Client releases.
ChefDeprecations/ResourceOverridesProvidesMethod
The ChefDeprecations/ResourceOverridesProvidesMethod cop detects overriding the provides? method in a resource's provider. This will cause failures in Chef Infra Client 13 and later. Instead use provides :SOME_PROVIDER_NAME to register the provider.
