Editing nodes with `knife node edit <node-name>` doesn't save

Every time I try to add attributes to a specific node, I get the following
message

“Node not updated, skipping node save”

However, I can modify the run_list using knife node edit <node-name>

Is it not possible to modify the attributes of a node?

You can only edit the normal attributes of a node, not override or default.
