How to install push-jobs for open source Chef server v11.1.6?

For chef 12 I used chef-server-ctl install opscode-push-jobs-server but that does not work for Chef 11 opensource?

Chris

Hi Chris,

Push jobs were a paid feature until chef 12 was released, making them
available to open source users. I do not believe you'll find that feature
available in any 11.x version of open source Chef.

Thanks,

Brandon

Thank, yes I was able to install it on our Chef 12 Enterprise server, but I thought it was also made open source for Chef 11.

We wanted to and announced we would open source it at some time, but the implementation relies on the RBAC system that was formerly closed source. Which would mean that we could open source it but you couldn’t use it without the closed source server to integrate it with, which is de facto not open source. So we had to either add an open-source only authz system to push-jobs or open source the RBAC system and we picked the latter option.

It needs the multi-tenant support and corresponding data structures
that don't exist in Open Source Chef Server 11.
