[Pre-Release Announcement] Native 64-bit Windows Chef Client

Ohai Chefs!

I’m happy to announce that this morning we are making available a pre-release of a native 64-bit version of the Windows Chef Client.

Highlights of this release include:

  • Usage of 64-bit Ruby platform
  • Resolution of potential issues related to Windows SysWow64 redirection
  • MSI marked as 64-bit for usage with Windows tools
  • Faster installer performance
