The version of our Chef environment is 11.6.0. Is there any benefit to
upgrade to latest version?
I believe it’s 12.2

and many many more.. bugfixes etc.. the actual impact will depend at what
scale and which platform you are using chef, but there are tons of features
for everyone. you should check the release notes ...
