Chef changed their website considerably, and when I navigate to the Get Chef link to get an on-premise chef server, I can only get to the 12.x.x version. Please point me to the 11.16.x version?

Thanks. Does the Enterprise Chef, called private-chef-11.2.x-*.rpm supersede this version? The chef instructor from the class I just attended mentioned that it’s just “one” Chef now.

The "there's just one chef-server" refer to the 12.0.0 version of chef
server. (still in release candidate for now)
Once on 12 there will be no differences between private and 'free' chef
server in term of code.
There's still premium features you can activate with a license fee
depending on the number of nodes you have (free under 25 nodes for
internal chef server, free under 5 nodes for hosted chef).
private-chef-11.2.x is the actual premium flavor vs chef-server-11.2.x.
(open source one). They are different installations and the private one
require a license and it is not exactly the same code behind
(someone from getchef would correct me if I'm wrong).
Hope it clarify it
