Who's using Chef to manage Solaris machines?

Hi all,

I’m looking to assess who in the community is using Chef to manage Solaris machines. If you’re doing this, could you please e-mail me privately with:

  • Size of the Solaris fleet you’re managing with Chef (or hope to manage)
  • Version of Solaris (9, 10 or 11, though 9 is officially unsupported)
  • Whether you’re on sparc or x86_64
  • What you wish was in Chef Client for Solaris that’s not there now, or what doesn’t work properly
