Yum repository for chef?

Chefs,

I noticed that there’s no central (yum) repository that hosts signed
versions of chef omnibus versions, is this somewhere in the plan?

You can get the latest omni rpm's from http://opscode.com/chef/install

After selecting os version arch, at the bottom you can select the chef
version to get a link to the rpm:
http://opscode-omnitruck-release.s3.amazonaws.com/el/6/x86_64/chef-10.16.2-1.el6.x86_64.rpm

Hit send before I completed last message. Using createrepo to make a yum
repo for your own infra is very straightforward. If your not already doing
having local repos for custom pushes of packages etc I highly recommend it.

Another thought on the subject. It should be trivial for Opscode to
actually push the needed repo data to s3 so we could just point at that.
