We are delighted to announce release 0.5.204 of Chef Automate. The release is available for download from https://downloads.chef.io/automate or in the stable channel on Bintray.
This release includes an enhancement to the SAML authentication feature. You can now specify a default role (or combination of roles) for users who are auto-created in Chef Automate via SAML login. The new option is available on the SAML Setup tab in the Admin area.
Also in this release we have fixed an issue related to display of workflow data on the welcome page. A defect was introduced with release 0.5.125 that prevented the workflow events from being recorded properly in the visibility database. This has now been corrected, but if you had installed 0.5.125 you will see a gap in the data between the installation date and upgrade to this new release.
Finally, we have also fixed an issue with display of data in visibility for users who did not have an email address associated with their account.
