IIRC until recently Chef Client was supported on SLES. But now I can’t find it
anymore on https://downloads.chef.io/chef-client/.
Did Chef stop to support the client on SLES?

SLES is a tier two platform (via https://github.com/chef/chef-rfc/blob/master/rfc021-platform-support-policy.md), meaning it is supported for installs but the packages are the same as (I think) RHEL. I think it has been raised before that this not made clear by the download page, but only Chef Software Inc can fix that.

We are starting up some SLES support work, I expect it will move to
Tier 1 before the end of the year.
