Chef-client omnibus package for ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus

Hi,

Is there a time frame for when Ubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus will receive a omnibus packaged deb package for chef (chef-client)?

Currently the only thing holding us from using Ubuntu 16.04 is the lack of a chef-client.
Or should one install the 14.04 package?

See Will chef work on ubuntu 16 but yes, the current client seems to work just fine.
