Chef Evaluation Pricing and Usage

Would these packages be also available for free usage

  1. Chef Manage
  2. Chef Push Jobs
  3. Chef Replication
  4. Reporting packages along with Chef Server, Evaluation version

The online-master-agreement at (
https://www.chef.io/online-master-agreement/ )

  1. Free On-Premise Evaluation (Chef Essentials) (section 5.1.1) states that
For thirty (30) calendar days after downloading the Software (the
“Evaluation Period”), Customer may operate unlimited Nodes on-premise and
Chef will provide Customer the Support services listed at
    /service-level-agreement/#support
    and
  2. Free On-Premise License (section 5.1.2): Customer may operate
indefinitely up to twenty-five (25) on-premise Nodes behind its firewall at
    no charge

whereas the plans and pricing page at (
https://www.chef.io/chef/#plans-and-pricing ) states that the Essentials
package is Free and one could manage 10,000+ node from a single server.

So, is Chef Essentials free for 10,000+ nodes for indefinite time period?

You can manage as many nodes as you want using the core Chef server
package (chef-server-core RPM or DEB). If you want any of the other
features like the web UI, analytics etc. for use with more than 25
nodes, that requires a license.

Minor nit, Push Jobs is an addon but does not require a license. Manage, Analytics, and AWS Replication do if used for more than 25 nodes.

Thank you for clearing that
