I have a question regarding the versioning of cookbook_versions (About Cookbook Versioning). Is there any limit to the length of cookbook_versions? For example, is cookbook_versions = 1.2.3456 okay? I could not find any information on this.
there isn't any version character limit. There is a limit on number of decimals and types of characters though. Standard symantec versioning is suggested.
