  • Dev work on user reset key in Infra Server view is complete
  • Testing of Infra Server view migration capability is in progress
  • Assessing reporting enhancement for compliance reports
  • Working on security enhancements to lockout account for incorrect credentials
  • Working on security enhancements to add strict transport security header across all HTTP services in Automate
  • Dev complete on a bug to show the check-in time in Infra Server nodes tab
  • Dev complete on a bug to avoid showing welcome screen on page refresh

  1. Chef Infra Server 14.14.1 was released with external opensearch support!
  2. Upgrading perl to 5.34 version is working for sqitch
  3. Working on internal opensearch migration
  4. Working Upgrading Erlang OTP to 25
  5. Adding verify pipeline in build kite for Chef Open Source org
  6. Adding el-8 builder

  • Preliminary PR opened for new inspec parallel command, laying foundation for new multi-target execution
  • Finished route_table resource
  • Closed two customer bugs
  • Continued work on Ruby 3.1 support in InSpec and Train
  • Research into an automatic profile selection engine

Hi All! Here is what Workstation & Community Tools are working on

We released built 22.4.861, having resolved the macos arm64 build issue.Work-in-progress

  • Update packaging to bundle InSpec 5.x major version update in subsequent release
  • Update several repos to support Ruby 3.1 in tandem with Chef Infra Client
  • Continue to automate e2e test for kitchen-ec2 plugin and chef cli scenarios
  • Updating test-kitchen CI to use GitHub actions
  • UX preparing wireframes for smoother install/ setup experience

  • unbound - 3.0.0

  • Add separate configuration resources

  • Default recipe now only runs installation

Workstation

  • 22.4.861 released

Server

  • 14.14.1 pending unstable channel release
  • This contains final work mark fixes and does not include any of the previous symlinks to the Chef locations
  • We'll be doing a close evaluation in the coming days and will hopefully promote this to the stable channel
  • Please test this release once it's out!

Thanks to @prajakta and @Lincoln Baker for getting our word mark PR merged and in the latest release! We're almost to a stable release on our end
