Ark compatibility issues w/ chef 11 resolved

Thanks to Elliot Pahl (HalcyonCorsair), Ark is now compatible with Chef 11

I have merged Elliot's changes into my tree and they should be soon
merged into opscode-cookbook's tree

Until the changes are upstreamed to opscode-cookbooks/ark, you can get
the updated version here:
