Chef Server 12.6.0 has been released and is now available for download.
Included in this release:
- A change to chef-server-ctl install so that the command will continue working. This command for previous versions of the Chef Server was tied too closely to Chef’s package hosting provider, which has changed. This fix makes it so that chef-server-ctl install will continue to work. For previous versions of the Chef Server this command will no longer work.
- License files for the Chef server and included third-party software are now located in a directory on disk for easy access, as detailed in this blog post.
- A bug fix where public_key_read_access group was not properly being respected for access on org-scoped user and client public key reads.
