We are delighted to announce the availability of version 0.15.18 of Chef Workstation.
We fixed an issue with the macOS Catalina (10.15) notarization process. In Chef Workstation 0.15.6, users were seeing errors when trying to run
chef installand other tools. These errors had a message similar to:
terminated by signal SIGKILL (Forced quit)). This type of error was caused by
ffiattempts to load native bindings into insecure memory, which is disabled by default in MacOS Catalina. We added an entitlement to allow this loading to happen.
2.1.5. This version removes deprecation warnings about the
ffigem from being outputted on Windows. Thank you @Dreweasland for this fix!
