We are delighted to announce the availability of version 22.7.1006 of Chef Workstation.

Improvements

Test Kitchen

  • test-kitchen has been updated to mask the sensitive data in debug logs.
  • The kitchen-dokken plugin has been updated to read credentials from config.json when attempting to authenticate with the registry. Thanks evandam!

Bug Fixes

  • knife-tidy has been updated to address an issue where the --keep-versions flag would not account for node data. Thanks ecottom!

Backward Incompatibilities

  • The reference to the default user gem path is now updated from ~/.chefdk to ~/.chef. This is made to avoid gem loading issues in MacOS. The backward incompatibility, if any, is relevant to a prior ChefDK installation (which is EOL) and not related to Chef Workstation installation.

If you are running the Chef Workstation toolbar application you can download this version from the menu after the app next update check. You can also download binaries directly from downloads.chef.io.
