Updated Components

Chef Infra Client

Updated Chef Infra Client from 17.10.0 to 18.0.185, which comes with Ruby 3.1. See the Chef Infra Client release notes for a full list of improvements and features.

Updated Chef InSpec from 4.56.20 to 5.18.14. See the Chef InSpec release notes for a full list of improvements and features.

Bug Fixes & Updates

  • We fixed an error when opening the Chef Workstation App on macOS Ventura that states that "Chef Workstation App.app is damaged and can’t be opened".

Platform Packages

  • We are no longer producing Debian 9 packages as Debian 9 is now end-of-life.

Test-Kitchen

  • Updated kitchen-dokken to support a new platform: attribute. Thanks nrocco!
  • Updated kitchen-dokken to fix an issue where kitchen login fails if Docker is absent. Thanks jmauro!
  • Updated kitchen-vra to fix issues with catalog lookup using catalog_name and to deprecate the outdated subtenant_id attribute.
